Yes. Every OpenRecovery Community is moderated by industry leading AI backed by humans with years of recovery experience. Official communities are guided by recovery specialists who understand recovery and create supportive, judgment-free spaces.

You have complete control over your privacy. You can join communities anonymously using a username of your choice, or you can use your real name if you prefer. Your profile visibility settings are entirely up to you, and you can adjust them at any time. We never share your personal information with other members without your explicit consent.

Official Communities are structured spaces guided by recovery specialists and often feature expert guidance. They're open to anyone following specific recovery methodologies.

Public Communities are open spaces where anyone can join and connect with others on similar journeys — great for broader discussions and meeting new people in recovery.

Private Communities are smaller, invitation-only groups you can create with people you know and trust — perfect for close-knit support networks, accountability partners, or friends in recovery together.

Communities is available inside the OpenRecovery app, along side other recovery feature such as Kai AI, Actions and more. Communities are also available on the web.

OpenRecovery Communities is currently in early access and will launch soon. We're accepting sign-ups for early access so you can be among the first to experience this new way of connecting in recovery. Early access members will have the opportunity to help shape the community features and provide valuable feedback.
